Intensity matters...well maybe not for @myhomiemoxie but it does for me 😂 I can’t tell you how people ask “how many times a day/week do I workout” and they’re almost always shocked when I say maybe 3-4 time for about 30-60 mins....THAT’S IT. Unless you’re like a pro athlete or just have a ton of time on your hands, you don’t need to workout all the time to get results BUT you do need to train with INTENSITY. If you’re not taking rest days, chances are you’re NOT working hard enough. On the rare occasion I do train with people they almost always say after “wow I’ve never worked that hard”, which matterssss!!! So the next time you do train, try to up your intensity just a BIT maybe a shorter rest period, move quicker in your exercises, a few more reps, whatever it is. A lot of the time it’s not about MORE time working out, it’s about working HARDER in the time you have 👊🏼

People are always asking everyone “how do you stay motivated”, motivation isn’t always some magical thing you feel everyday. A lot of the time it just comes down to continuing to show up & do the things you need to do, even when you don’t want to. Actually especially when you don’t want to haha, when you’re hearing a lot of no’s, taking a lot of L’s, nothing is working for you....yet you continue to show up & put in the work everyday. Doesn’t matter what “it” is, if you want it you’ve got to work for it everyday, just keep showing up no matter what 👊🏼 📸 @jpatrickphoto

There’s lot of ways to get fit, to me it comes down to choosing something that works with your personality. You’ve gotta choose something that you enjoy doing, so you can KEEP doing it! For example from years of training for sports to fitness competitions, I’ve pretty much done every kind of workout. I love athletic style training, that uses your whole body & mind. But you couldn’t pay me to do a bodybuilding style workout split right now or steady state cardio they’re so boring to me I’d lose my mind 😂😂 I almost need to do something a little different for every workout. That is what works for my personality, try to keep that in mind when you’re picking out your workout.
